Our Aurora Eggers are a joyful, ever-changing project here on the homestead. They’re bred with care for health, vigor, friendly temperaments, and the kind of blue and green egg colors that stop you mid-collect and make you smile. This listing includes six (6) fresh hatching eggs, thoughtfully selected and gently handled to give them the best possible start.

Bonus eggs included when the hens allow it.

Aurora Eggers are our take on the classic rainbow layer, with an emphasis on clear blues and fresh greens in as many shades as nature decides to offer. Eggs may range from pale sky blue and aqua to mint, teal, and seafoam, with natural variation in tone and depth. From time to time, a pink or brown egg may appear within the project as well. Some shells may show light speckling or soft shading. No two eggs are exactly alike, and that variation is part of what makes this project special.

Because Aurora Eggers are a mixed, color-focused line, every hatch is a surprise. There is no single, expected look for chicks. Some may hatch with beards and muffs, some with crests, some with both, and some with neither. A few may even arrive with frizzle feathers for a little extra personality. Colors, patterns, and features can vary widely, making each hatch feel like opening a small mystery box.

The egg color you receive does not determine the color your pullets will eventually lay. With mixed genetics, pullets may mature to produce blue, green, pink, or brown eggs depending on the traits they inherit. That unpredictability is part of the fun for those who enjoy watching genetics unfold over time.

Aurora Eggers are bred with real-world flocks in mind. We focus on friendly dispositions, good laying habits, and colorful egg baskets, while continuing to refine the project toward appealing blue and green shades. These birds are not offered as show or exhibition quality, but are a great fit for hobbyists and breeders who enjoy vibrant eggs, genetic variety, and birds with plenty of personality in home flocks or small-scale breeding programs.

 Disclaimer

Eggs are collected daily and handled with care, coming from healthy, well-maintained breeding stock here on the homestead. Breeding pens are actively monitored, and fertility is confirmed through regular test hatches. Each egg is stored properly prior to shipment or local pickup to give it the best possible start.

While fertility is guaranteed at the time of shipment, hatching eggs are always a bit of a leap of faith. Once eggs leave the homestead, hatch rates and final outcomes depend on factors beyond our control, including shipping conditions and individual incubation practices. For this reason, hatch rates and outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

By purchasing hatching eggs, you acknowledge these natural risks and understand that fertility is guaranteed, but hatch results are not.
